Gnomes are mystical humanoids related to the fey, they stand over 3 feet in height and have seeked refuge in the hillsides where they made their home after being forced out of the mystical realm of the fey. it is not known why or what forced the gnomes out the realm of the fey.
Male gnomes despite their usual messy hair pride themselves over their well trimmed beard, especially if one is a mage. Being related to the fey the gnomes are magical in nature and inquisitive, they prefer magical professions or ones that allow them to tinker and craft magical items.
Gnomes make excellent spell casters, They can be warriors or rogues but their short stature make them easy targets and their short legs make them not the fastest at dodgy blows. They like adventure and have integrated into society well, they come in all colours just like humans when it comes ot hair, eye and skin colour.

What is a MUD (Multi-User Dungeon)
A MUD also known as multi-user dungeon is a real time multiplayer virtual world much like MMORPGs of today except instead of a graphical interface they use a text based interface. The key strength to being text based is the role playing aspect using text anything is possible within reason, your character can look, do and say whatever you wish it's a different type of immersion and in some ways deeper than the graphical RPGs.
