Dwarves
Dwarves as the name implies are a short race being 4'9" as the tallest. Despite there small size they are very strong and stocky. They're a hardy rowdy bunch who love beer and fighting. They come in all colours for hair and skin like humans. Not much is known of the origins of the dwarfs it is said they were carved from the stone they dwell in when the old world was shattered.
Dwarves live long lives but much shorter than elves, the oldest known dwarf lived to over 300 years. A lot of blood has been spilt between the elves and dwarves over the years. It's been over 200 years since the last war but still very fresh in the mind of the elves and dwarves still alive now. Because of this the two may not get a long in a party together for long
Dwarves make excellent fighters or barbarians, they're strong melee characters, they also make good clerics.

What is a MUD (Multi-User Dungeon)
A MUD also known as multi-user dungeon is a real time multiplayer virtual world much like MMORPGs of today except instead of a graphical interface they use a text based interface. The key strength to being text based is the role playing aspect using text anything is possible within reason, your character can look, do and say whatever you wish it's a different type of immersion and in some ways deeper than the graphical RPGs.
